This pair features Song brocade in deep green, pale gold and sage. Each circular face frames a different part of the woven leaf pattern. The frame, sides and reverse are made of Miao silver.
Care+
Keep the textile dry. Avoid direct contact with perfume and cosmetics, and store separately to protect the threads. Gently wipe the Miao silver with a soft, dry cloth.
GILDED FROND
Green holds the light.
A leaf carries it.
Gilded Frond takes its name from the deep green ground and the pale gold leaf forms woven across it. A small fragment of brocade becomes a quiet point of light beside the face.
The two textile faces frame different parts of the design. Together, their leaves echo each other without repeating the same arrangement.
THE ART OF SONG BROCADE
Woven colour,
quiet light.
Part of Lustre, Olsevi’s Song brocade collection, this pair holds a fragment of woven pattern in a circular frame.
Pale gold leaf forms cross the emerald ground, accompanied by darker green details. The pattern belongs to the weave, with fine textile texture visible between the motifs.
A woven fragment, held close.
MIAO SILVER & BROCADE
A soft centre.
A defined edge.
A continuous Greek-key pattern encircles the Miao silver frame. A small ring joins it to the fishhook; raised scrolling relief gives the rounded reverse depth and shadow. The frame, sides and reverse are made of Miao silver.
Soft woven colour on the front meets scrolling Miao silver relief on the reverse.
ON THE BODY
A line of colour.
A quiet movement.
The circular form brings deep green and pale gold beside the face, its woven texture catching the light with movement.
Ivory linen sets off the green and pale gold tones; mineral teal creates a deeper tonal pairing. The same pair moves between both.

Rooted in Chinese aesthetics, our perspective begins with the relationship between what is held and what is revealed. Space, contrast and the choice of a fragment give that idea a tangible form.
